Dr. Pavel Gladyshev is an Associate Professor at University College Dublin (Ireland), where he established and acted as the first director of MSc in Forensic Computing and Cybercrime Investigation. Dr. Gladyshev contributed to the development of scientific theory of digital forensics by proposing state machine formulation of digital event reconstruction problem and, more recently, by working on probabilistic methods of digital forensics. In extra curricular capacity Dr. Gladyshev served as an invited expert to INTERPOL Working Patry on IT Crime – Europe; and INTERPOL steering committee on IT Crime. In 2020-2022, Dr. Gladyshev served as the academic lead and the main contributor to the development of INTERPOL Digital Forensics training programme. Dr. Gladyshev is a member of editorial boards of several journals including IEEE Security and Privacy Magazine and Elsevier’s Forensic Science International: Digital Investigation, and a member of the board of directors of DFRWS.org.
